Roger's father, Irving was a cook in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  He wanted to keep the food tasty and interesting during their long voyages, but he was limited to the ingredients that the government issued. Irving spent many hours mixing and tasting, mixing and tasting, then finally came up with a sauce that he felt his crew would like. As it turned out, his crew loved it!!  Thus, started our family tradition of making our own barbeque sauce.

When Roger and I began cooking together, we also made Dad's BBQ sauce, but gradually "tweaked" the recipe to achieve perfection. Even Roger's Dad loves our sauce better than his original recipe!

Roger is now in charge of making the sauce for all family barbeques, because friends and family all agree that ours is the best sauce they have ever eaten!  After Roger became a firefighter and was serving our sauce to his crew, they loved it so much that they asked to buy it for their homes and encouraged Roger to produce it for sale.  So it was because of all this encouragement that we are now able to offer Swan's Family Recipe Barbeque sauce for you to enjoy, too.  What we sell to you is the same quality recipe that we serve our own family, with only the best ingredients including real sweet cream butter (no trans fats) and brown sugar.
